"30 Day of Thankfulness"
Day 3
Today I am thankful for the blessing of marriage! In a day when
marriage is seen as a contract that doesn't bear much weight, I praise God that
I get to share my life with my best friend and spend every day in the trust and
comfort of our two lives joined together in a Holy covenant before God. And even after 20 years of marriage, our love
is stronger because the vows we took on February 8, 1992, were a commitment to
each other and our God. Daily we work at it, we pray over it, we commit to it,
and we trust God through it.....the blessing of marriage!
"To
have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer,
for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish; from this day
forward until death do us part."
‘For
this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife,
and the two will become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two, but one.
Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.”
