I'm amazed at how my Savior can take any and every circumstance around me to show me more about him. My prayer has always been that this journey of life I'm on would continually bring honor and glory to him, so by using every opportunity; my mistakes, my successes, and my day-to-day adventures, he teaches me how to use it for his glory. This life he blessed me with is ALL about him! So, these are my thoughts, my heart cries, and my lessons from his glorious Word. These are the teachable moments from my Savior!

Psalm 25:4-5 "Show me your ways, LORD, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long."

Have YOUR Way In Me, Jesus!

Today, let's be more concerned with what God thinks of us than what others do. Let's spend more time at His feet in prayer and listening than being drowned out by the world and its mess. Let's spend less time sharing every detail and thought with the world and more time letting God work in our details and thoughts to make them pleasing to HIM. Let's spend less time on Facebook and truly get our face in the Book!

Today....let's be more intentional in our relationship with HIM!

The Joy of Following Jesus!

After dinner conversations around the kitchen table with my teenagers (and bonus teen ;) about the incredible joy of following Jesus; sharing how God has purpose and meaning for their lives and hearing them share how they are being intentional in their relationships with Him....yes!!

Those are the moments where I fall on my knees before God in awe of Him!

Parents, let's never give up praying with our children and pouring Jesus into them. They are faced with so much pull to go every other direction but let's keep pointing them to Jesus! This world is dark and scary and our kids need God's light shining in them and through them. Mistakes will be made (just like me), life will be hard and things will be questioned but never give up!! Jesus is the ONLY way and until I leave this world, I will spend every breath praising my God, sharing His greatness and pouring His Word into my children! O, how I love my kids and how I love my God!

“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.”

Deuteronomy 6:4-9 NIV

A Blessed Time at She Speaks 2015!

Headed home from an incredible weekend in the Lord! O, how I love Jesus!

Thank you, Matt, for nudging me to follow God's call on my life and believing BIG things from Him. Thank you to my kids for believing in me & encouraging me to follow God's will and for the many family & friends who have prayed me through this journey.

Most of all, thank you, Father, for giving me the burning desire to help women fall in love with the Word of God and run after Jesus with everything they've got!

YOU are my everything!

Now I go home to my family...my greatest ministry and the ones I love most on this earth. I've missed them so much!

She Speaks Day 1

Thank you so much to each precious soul who has texted, messaged, commented or called with encouragement and prayer. You will never know what that means to me during this time. Don't ever doubt the impact an encouraging word spoken to someone can have in their life.

Yesterday was an amazing day! We began with prayer and praise as we sang together and lifted high the name of Jesus! Then I was challenged in God's Word through some incredible speakers and heard from Lysa TerKeurst's family firsthand of what this ministry means to them. What a blessed community this is! Though I knew only one person here, I have been prayed over, encouraged and blessed by so many sweet Jesus girls who desire to live out this calling God has placed on our lives. Wow! I love that!

So today I'm in for another day of learning, growing and seeking God's face. To God be the glory, great things He has done!

Have YOUR way in me, precious Lord!

Praying for Proverbs!

Even though the morning started off rough with a dead battery and a trip to the auto store for a new one, it has been an amazing day!
The road trip was spent in prayer & praise because God is so worthy! Then lunch with a dear friend and finally a prayer walk through the Proverbs 31 Ministries office. What an honor & privilege to pray over each and every staff member and aspect of their wonderful ministry which has had a huge impact on my life for Christ!
Tomorrow the conference begins!!

She Speaks 2015

Well, here I go! Charlotte bound for ‪#‎SheSpeaks15‬! A journey that began over two years ago and now it's here! I'm nervous & excited but so ready to see what God has in store! After a dead battery this morning and so many other hurdles over the last several months I could write a book on, I'm heading out and anticipating a mighty work of God!!

Please pray for traveling mercies, for a renewed mind for the week ahead, for discernment in the calling God has placed on my life and most importantly, that God will be glorified in all I say and do!

Pick up the Word today!

Happy Monday! What a blessed day it is going to be as we give God praise!
Aren't you thankful for God's Word? Oh, how I love and cherish this precious Book!

"All Scripture is God‑breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NIV)

I love to read and there are many books right now on my book shelves awaiting their turn but, there will NEVER be one that can compare to the Holy Bible! God's inspired, infallible, perfect, and Holy Word! Those words are life-changing, transforming, powerful! Just turning each page and running my fingers across every word brings such awe! Amazing God! My God!

I spent much of my time this weekend flipping through those beautiful pages of scripture, nourishing my soul and seeking His way. God's Word will always satisfy, correct, rebuke, and train me to do His Work. We have to get in God's Word and apply it to our lives to be equipped to navigate through this life. There is no other way! If you are looking for fulfillment in your life, pick up His Word and seek His face. Outside of the will of God, there will never be true satisfaction and the will of God is given through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, fellowship with the Father, and obedience to His Word.

Pick up His Word today and find Him through the pages of Scripture!

"You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."

Jeremiah 29:13 (NIV)

I have no greater joy....

“I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.”
3 John 1:4 (NIV)

What a blessing to see my kids lead worship today! As parents we continually pray that God will always take first place in their lives which, in this day, is so hard as so many other things vie for that position. But we pray and trust daily and will always guide them to Jesus.

Lord, these children belong to YOU first and we praise you for the awesome blessing & responsibility you have given us of being their parents. What an incredible honor it is to teach our children the truths of God's Word day in and day out and watch it transform their lives!

Father, keep them close to you and guard their hearts & minds. Help them follow YOUR ways as they shine YOUR light to a dark world.

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.

Deuteronomy 6:5-9 (NIV)
