I'm amazed at how my Savior can take any and every circumstance around me to show me more about him. My prayer has always been that this journey of life I'm on would continually bring honor and glory to him, so by using every opportunity; my mistakes, my successes, and my day-to-day adventures, he teaches me how to use it for his glory. This life he blessed me with is ALL about him! So, these are my thoughts, my heart cries, and my lessons from his glorious Word. These are the teachable moments from my Savior!

Nothing is Impossible for God!

Good Tuesday morning!

It's the new work/school week after enjoying a day off yesterday. So now we begin!

What are you facing today that seems impossible?

I had this discussion with my mom yesterday. She reminded me that God can do anything! When we look at a situation and cannot, through our human eyes, see how it will work out, the Holy Spirit nudges our hearts back to scripture where God, time and time again, does the humanly impossible. He is God and nothing is impossible for Him!

What is your impossible today?

We need to take it to battle in prayer. Fight on our knees. God is in control and we have to listen and obey His ways. When our eyes are on Him and His will, we will begin to see what once was humanly impossible has been divinely made possible!
Today, go to battle on your knees and trust the One who is in control!

“For with God nothing shall be impossible.”

Praising in All Things!

It's a wonderful morning out on the porch! It's foggy but a little cool and the sound of the water dripping off the house from last night's downpour is so soothing. I look across the field where the soybeans are growing and there's that slight haze lying ever-so-gently on top of the crops. Birds are chirping and the small tree beside my rocking chair makes me happy as the leaves dance in the gentle breeze. Oh, it's so peaceful and in this rat-race of a world we live in, peaceful mornings are treasured and good for the soul.

I'm always the early riser. I've tried sleeping late but it just won't happen. 6:30 is about as late as it can get for me even this summer when I had the opportunity to sleep late. My plan was to stay in bed and just continue watching my sweet husband sleep. After quite a bit of travel over the last month, his presence is treasured and my heart beats a little faster just looking at his precious face. So, this morning I was just enjoying Matt's presence and thanking God for this amazing man beside me. But, Louie, our faithful dog, decided he wanted to be an early riser this morning and needed to go out. So, off we went!

I made my way here to the porch. You know how it goes....Bible, coffee and dog lying at my feet. As I sit here, I talk with my Father over the things on my heart. Sure there are burdens and I lay them at His feet but there are also many many blessings to give Him praise for. I thank Him for being my portion. In times of waiting, as we are in a few things, I praise Him for filling me up and continue asking Him for contentment in situations and seasons that we are in. I don't want to be discontent. Even in the difficult areas of life, there is so much to learn and grow from. God doesn't waste our times of trial or waiting. When we turn our trust and faith to Him and Him only, those times strengthen us and prepare us for the next season of life. Even in the midst of these times, I will praise Him louder and stronger! I thank him for answered prayers! He hears and He answers in His time and for our good! It's a blessed day!

I will continue to sit and rock in my chair for a while! I will turn on some music and sing praises to God. (I will just wait until a better hour of the morning so I don't bother the neighbors with my praise. Lol!) But then I'll enter my home again and pull out the griddle and cook a big breakfast for my people. My people! Thank you, Lord!! What a blessing to serve them and love on them!

I pray you have a blessed Saturday and enjoy a long 3-day weekend. Whatever you do, wherever you go; praise the One who is worthy!

Yes, Precious Lord, I will count my blessings and give YOU praise for it ALL!!

"I will praise the Lord all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live."

Psalm 146:2 (NIV)
