I'm amazed at how my Savior can take any and every circumstance around me to show me more about him. My prayer has always been that this journey of life I'm on would continually bring honor and glory to him, so by using every opportunity; my mistakes, my successes, and my day-to-day adventures, he teaches me how to use it for his glory. This life he blessed me with is ALL about him! So, these are my thoughts, my heart cries, and my lessons from his glorious Word. These are the teachable moments from my Savior!

Psalm 25:4-5 "Show me your ways, LORD, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long."

Fourth Sunday of Advent

The final Sunday of Advent and what a beautiful time it has been. As a family we lit the fourth candle which is the angel candle or candle of love. This candle represents God's messengers. Those that announced the Messiah's birth. Those that appeared to Zechariah, Mary, Joseph, and the shepherds. The angels play an important role for the King as they announced the great news of Jesus' birth. But we also see throughout scripture that the angels are also executors of God's divine judgement. We see this throughout scripture as in the case of Sodom and Gomorrah or in the camp of the Assyrians. They also are sent to help us in times of trouble, our protectors, just as they were with Daniel in the pit of lions as they shut the lions mouths or with Peter in Acts 12 when they opened the prison gates and Peter walked right through.

Angels....God's messengers and our protectors.

But this Sunday, in the Christmas story, we celebrate the good news the angels brought! The news of the Messiah! Tell everyone! Spread the good news! Jesus came to earth to save his people from their sins!

The ONE who saved ME from my sins!

My Jesus!

My Savior!

Hallelujah!
