I'm amazed at how my Savior can take any and every circumstance around me to show me more about him. My prayer has always been that this journey of life I'm on would continually bring honor and glory to him, so by using every opportunity; my mistakes, my successes, and my day-to-day adventures, he teaches me how to use it for his glory. This life he blessed me with is ALL about him! So, these are my thoughts, my heart cries, and my lessons from his glorious Word. These are the teachable moments from my Savior!

Psalm 25:4-5 "Show me your ways, LORD, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long."

The Alabaster Jar

Passion week continues and I read... and pray... and prepare....

The alabaster jar....

"She did what she could."
Mark 14:8

What a beautiful lesson in humility, honor, devotion and love.

“While he was in Bethany, reclining at the table in the home of Simon the Leper, a woman came with an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume, made of pure nard. She broke the jar and poured the perfume on his head. Some of those present were saying indignantly to one another, “Why this waste of perfume? It could have been sold for more than a year’s wages and the money given to the poor.” And they rebuked her harshly. “Leave her alone,” said Jesus. “Why are you bothering her? She has done a beautiful thing to me. The poor you will always have with you, and you can help them any time you want. But you will not always have me. She did what she could. She poured perfume on my body beforehand to prepare for my burial. Truly I tell you, wherever the gospel is preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be told, in memory of her.”

Mark 14:3-9 (NIV)

Monday Struggles...Encouragement for YOU!

Good Monday morning!

Anyone out there struggling today??? Well, lift the praise up to Jesus where it belongs and sing!

This song is for anyone struggling, going through a trial or anyone who has ever been through one. I get it! I've been through quite a few in my 42 years but each and every time I have drawn closer to the Lord and my faith & trust in Him has been strengthened. He loves me and HE is my JOY!

So for those of you struggling on this Monday, crank up the volume and get your praise on. God loves you and He is for YOU!

This has become a new favorite of mine by Meredith Andrews! Take a look at these lyrics then crank it up!

"Every valley made me lift my eyes up
Every burden only made me stronger
Every sorrow only made Your joy go
Deeper and deeper, deeper, and deeper
Every mountain is making me a climber
Every giant is calling out a fighter
Every heartache only makes Your love go
Deeper and deeper, deeper, and deeper
Thrown down but not defeated
I’m worn out but not giving up
I’ve hit ground but even at rock bottom

I’m just getting started, yea, I’m just getting started"

Passion Week

Tomorrow is Palm Sunday and the beginning of Passion Week. I've spent some time this last week immersed in the pages of scripture as I want to prepare my heart and mind for Easter. My heart is overwhelmed by what my Savior did for me! I love Him so much! My prayer is that your week is full of gratitude over His great love for you and that you are able to take some time to read and ponder over that amazing grace He so freely offers. If you don't know where to begin, start here and read through all the gospel accounts; of His triumphal entry, though His death and resurrection:
Matthew 21, Mark 11, Luke 19, John 12

Beautiful love!

Blessings to you as we enter this special season of Easter!

STAND!

This is something we have always tried to teach our kids. But the biggest test is will we lead by example? Don't just speak...act!

Our kids are watching.

Others are watching.

Will we be bold and take a stand for Christ even if it comes with great cost and even if we stand alone?

STAND.

“If you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all."

Isaiah 7:9b (NIV)

Clean by Natalie Grant

This song...

What a beautiful message of what Christ did for me!

I see shattered

You see whole

I see broken

But You see beautiful

And You're helping me to believe

You're restoring me piece by piece
There's nothing too dirty that
You can't make worthy
You wash me in mercy
I am clean.

Let all that I am wait quietly...

Taking our spot on the front porch this morning! First time in months, now that the weather is warming up! I will say this was needed for both of us! Louie got a tad bit excited when I grabbed my coffee and my Bible off the table and headed toward the front door. I think he needs this respite as much as I do. Sure, he lays around all day at home as a lazy house dog but there is just something about going out in the beautiful sunshine and laying at the feet of your master. As you can see, he is quite content!

I feel the same way! There is just something about being out in God's creation sitting at my Master's feet in anticipation for all the love and guidance He bestows on me....His daughter!! I pray, I sing, I read His Word but most times I just sit and listen. O, to be still and just KNOW that He is God!

Today, I begin in praise to my Father! I'm so thankful for His presence! I'm so thankful for His fatherly guidance and I'm so thankful for His unconditional love! He is my ROCK! He is AMAZING God!

“Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will not be shaken. My victory and honor come from God alone..”

Psalms 62:5-7 (NLT)
